My name is Ewa and I am a complementary therapist/body worker with my own practice in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
What are complementary/holistic therapies and why do we need them?
Many complementary therapies are known to have been practised by various ancient civilisations for thousands of years and unlike conventional medicine, their holistic approach seeks to treat the person as a whole rather than just looking at the symptoms of the current illness.
Complementary healthcare is becoming increasingly popular. More and more people are recognising the importance of finding time to relax and unwind away from the pressures of our everyday lives and realising the health dangers associated with our environment: stress, fatigue, long working hours, chemical additives in food, poor air quality - all these add to the strain on the body's immune system. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, the body will very often be left in a state of imbalance with the vital energy pathways blocked which prevents the body and all its individual systems from functioning effectively; it is vital to restore the body’s balance in order to enjoy better health.

In my garden, a pebbled path leads to a private log cabin where I have created a special place for my work: dimmed lighting; ambient music; heated treatment couch; warm towels; the scent of beautiful aromatherapy oils. The perfect environment to soothe your mind, body and spirit.
